THE PLOT:
Gil Mars is the biggest billioniare since Donald Trump, he buys a small time toy company and likes the newest toy idea, the
Commondo Elite. Everything else is just a toy, but to make them as alive as Mars wants them to be, Larry aquires experimental
miltary computer chips.
A young boy cons a delivery guy to arrange for a box of them to "fall of the back of the truck". Archer, leader
of the Commando Elite's enemy the Gorgonites hides in Alan's backpack. Chip Hazard, leader of the Commando Elite sees this
as aiding the enemy, and they will stop at nothing to kill the Gorgonites and the human allies.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
Joe Dante the director of Gremlins has done it again. The small soldiers are cool designs, there is a great supporting cast
of voice over actors playing the Gorgonites and the Commando Elite. This is a great movie, my only problem isn't with the
movie, it's with the rating, PG-13 is a tad strong, there was more violence is STAR WARS EPISODE 1 and it only got a PG.
I really wish we would clean up the MPAA and get rid of those rotting old corpses that rate movie and give movies Ratings
they don't deserve. I give this movie...9 STARS
VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I agree that this movie was unjusticely given a PG-13 rating, I for a party of one think it should have been PG. Anyway,
the effects are perfect. The cast, human and voice over alike is just perfect, great, wonderful. This is a great science
fiction. I give it....10 STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ STORY (The story was just perfect, perfect)
+ CAST (The cast, human and voice over did a great job)
+ ACTION FIGURE EFFECTS (The effects were just perfect)
+ DESIGN (Some of the Commando Elite was scarier looking then the monster toys)
+ CHARACTERS (The characters were well written)
AND FINALLY....
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- PG-13 (Neither of us thought it deserved a PG-13 rating)
