THE PLOT:

The world of Toyland where toys and fairy tale characters live in peace. Jack is back from a long trip to see Santa and discovers that there is trouble a brewing in Toyland. Barnaby, the crooked old man has a plan in action to conquer Toyland once and for all unless Jack and his friend Jill can stop him and his army of Boogens.

ZEDD'S OPINION:

This one is based on an old operetta which would explain the changes in the story, in the original story the fairy tale characters lived in Mother Gooseland and find Toyland while fleeing Barnaby. But even with that change, I can't help but like this wonderfully animated Disneyisc version of the story with a great cast, great music and truly one for the whole family. 10 STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:

I agree with Zedd to a point, this is a great family film. The adults will remember the older versions of the story when they were children and the kids will enjoy the new story. It's also good to see quality animation, with all the crap being pumped out as of late I was beginning to wonder if any idiot off the street could get a job as an animator. You know what I mean, shows like Spoongebob, Teacher's Pet among others that looks like they hired a bunch of fourth graders as animators. This is classic style animation worth watching. However I disapprove of the re-write. 9 STARS.
