Rudolph & the Island of Misfit Toys
THE PLOT:
Rudolph is back and this time investigating the thefts of toys all over the world by the mysterious Toy Taker. But first
he and Hermey must travel to the island of Misfit Toys where King Moonracer is suffering from a terrible toothache.
Meanwhile the Toy Taker strikes at the North Pole, it's up to Rudolph, Yukon and the Bumble to find the missing toys or
Christmas will be ruined.
ZEDD'S OPINION:
This is a cute story, allrhough the animation could have been better. I respect that they did their best to try to make it
look like the puppet effects of old, but they failed. Plus Rudolph's nose looks more pink in some shots.
Plus, there was a continuity mistake, Charlie-In-The-Box and the other Misfit Toys that already found homes in the first
special was pleading to the Toy Taker to let them go home, and Peggy the piggybank was standing next to the dolly, hello,
Peggy should have still been on the island since he haven't been there yet. I'm sorry, I can't let that slide, I give it....6
STARS

VOLTRON'S OPINION:
I liked to see all the characters from the first special, but they kind of forgot all the things that happened afterwords.
Rudolph's Shiny New Year, Christmas in July with Frosty. Those two things happened too and it was wrong of the makers
to pretend they never happened and say this was the next story, that's just wrong. I give it...6½ STARS
ON THE POSITIVE SIDE (+ HITS):
+ CHARACTERS (It was good to see from characters that we haven't seen from in decades)
+ STORY (The basic story of the Toy Taker works)
+ CAST (The vocal cast was great, who knew that Jamie Lee Curtis could sing?)
+ NEW MISFIT TOYS (It was good to see a new batch of misfit toys)
ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE (- MISSES):
- PINK NOSE (Was Rudolph drinking?)
- COMPUTER ANIMATION (Allthough the animation tried to look like the stop motion of old, it failed.)
- OTHER RUDOLPH STORIES (Even if the makers didn't like the other two stories doesn't mean they didn't happen)
AND FIANLLY....
- CONTONUITY MISTAKE (Peggy the pig was still on the island of misfit toys and in the clutches of the Toy Taker at the
same time)
